Symphony's new SMS messaging service

New for March 2007 we are happy to unveil the Symphony SMS Messaging Service. This innovative system allows the event organiser to text delegates, speakers and guests with relevant messages. This is especially useful for last minute changes to event programmes, room changes and urgent messages to delegates. Messages can be sent to groups of people or individuals, allowing swift and efficient relaying of important, but last minute, information.

As we all know the events industry is a world of meticulous planning and timing. For an event to run smoothly everybody needs to know exactly where they should be at any particular time. This is usually not a problem unless there are unforeseen changes at the last minute. Things can start to go horribly wrong if you can't contact people instantly. This is where Symphony SMS Messaging comes in. With our service you can type a message on your computer, choose who you want to send it to and instantly let them know of any changes.

For instance, imagine a large conference with lots of workshops taking place at the same time. For reasons beyond your control you find out you can't hold one of the workshops in the room you intended, and you have to move it to a different room. You can send your Symphony SMS message just to the delegates attending that particular workshop and inform them of the change, without bothering everybody else.

Of course delegates are likely to have their phones switched off during sessions, but during breaks and in-between sessions people regularly check for messages and missed calls, so this is a great time to let them know of any upcoming changes to the programme.

Messaging isn't just great for room changes. You can contact individuals with important messages. Send route directions to lost speakers, or even try to locate missing board members!
